Active Life Fitness is owned and operated by Mark Coorey and Mick Higham. Together they purchased the business and Mark Coorey purchased the building at 228 Wynnum Road, where Active Life is located. Since owning the business Mark Coorey has significantly renovated the building to make the gym a great place to work-out.

Mark Coorey masterminded the total renovation and renewal of the building. This included adding a one third size Olympic pool, adding two new group fitness and aerobics rooms. Also air-conditioning was added to the whole complex making it a cool place to get fit. Once a run down building and a struggling gym, Active Life Fitness, under the control of Mark Coorey has become a beautiful relaxed environment where all fitness needs are catered for.

Facilities at Active Life include, solarium, Pilates, yoga, steam room, Bushi Kai Karate as well as the latest weights and cardio equipment. In addition to the gym facilities, Active Life Fitness now houses other speciality businesses including Profile Health Services and Hands for Health Massage.
